The SCHEUERLE SPMT is a modular self-propelled transporter that can be combined into arbitrarily large transport units, completely revolutionizing the transport industry since its market launch in 1983. The self-propelled module vehicles can be individually configured from different platforms with 3, 4, 5, or 6 axle lines. The load capacity depends on the respective version and is up to a maximum of 60 tons per axle line. Each module can be equipped with its own drive and control system. Thanks to the wide variety of combinations, SCHEUERLE SPMTs can lift and move virtually all heavy loads.

Positioning

The SCHEUERLE SPMT enables high positioning accuracy of +/- 1-2 mm to safely and precisely maneuver valuable and heavy loads. The compact design of the SCHEUERLE SPMT, with the horizontal lamellar coupling on the underside, provides higher ground clearance and a lower design to improve the ability to drive under loads.

Coupling

For the operation of SPMT modules, coupling and uncoupling is a necessity. The standardized coupling units allow for efficient operation with repetitive actions. Coupling the modules provides high flexibility, as desired combinations for heavy transport can be assembled individually and quickly. SCHEUERLE SPMT modules can be connected or separated in just 3 simple process steps.

Driving under loads

The SCHEUERLE SPMT is optimized for driving under, lifting, and setting down loads. Heavy loads are now built on pallets or heavy-duty feet to reduce downtime and costs and increase efficiency. The SCHEUERLE SPMT drives under the pallets/heavy-duty feet and can thus move entire heavy-duty structures, including the largest and heaviest constructions, to another location.

Axle compensation

Axle compensation of the SCHEUERLE SPMT is a key feature for precisely and safely maneuvering and positioning heavy loads over inclines and uneven terrain. The hydraulic connection of all axles distributes the pressure evenly on the ground. This prevents point overloads and protects the ground. The proprietary software (Salsa +) supports the transporter in planning and safely executing their transports.

Slope adjustment

The function of the PPU (Power Pack Unit) with tilt cylinders enables driving on inclines. The tilt cylinder is a hydraulic system that allows the PPU to adjust to slopes while keeping the platform level.

Transport

The outer width of the SCHEUERLE SPMT of 2430 mm allows for cost-effective transport in standard flat-deck containers. This eliminates the need for transport permits and special transport costs.

Remote control

The ergonomic radio remote control of the SCHEUERLE SPMT weighs only 3.5 kg and has a 35-inch TFT display that shows all necessary operating states and support pressures. All functions such as steering, drive, lifting system, brakes, and deceleration can be controlled via joysticks, steering programs, and selectors on the remote control.

COG „Easy Mode“

With the new Easy Mode, you always have your load’s center of gravity in view. The simplified display shows tipping lines and overload characteristics directly on the vehicle, helping to effectively reduce the risk of tilting and damage.

TPMS

The new Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) monitors tire pressure in real time and is fully integrated into SCHEUERLE Connect. Alerts and status messages appear immediately within the system, enabling drivers and fleet managers to react early. Save manual inspection rounds and optimize SPMT setup time through targeted pressure control.

Over the air updates

Software updates can now be carried out independently by the customer — without a workshop visit, without scheduling an appointment, and without downtime. New features and security patches are available immediately, whenever and wherever you need them.
