Historical truck rally at SCHEUERLE

The Hohenlohe region is not only a very beautiful area but also worth a visit when it comes to historical vehicles.

In addition to such events as the Langenburg Historic car rally and the events organized by the group of commercial vehicle enthusiasts in the nearby Franconian town of Wörnitz, Christof Schneider, owner of the construction and quarrying company, Schneider & Sohn, in Gammesfeld has meanwhile also become very well-known throughout Germany due to his historical commercial vehicle tour which is held every three years. The broad spectrum of participating vehicles ranges from the early 1940s through to the late 80s - Opel Blitz, Kaelble KDV and KD 34 S, Büssing 8000 - an impressive line up. This year, the lunch break was arranged at SCHEUERLE in Pfedelbach. Although the company´s vehicles are usually too heavy for the historical trucks, its long tradition in transporting heavy loads, however, presents an interesting contrast. The extremely sociable finale took place at the Schneider & Sohn depot in Gammesfeld – in proper style of course with the truck maintenance facility being converted for the evening into a festive location complete with beer and a barbeque.
