KAMAG | SlagPotCarrier: U-frame version
The U-frame version of the slag pot carrier is designed for high-performance and efficient slag transport in steel plants. A key characteristic of this concept is the placement of the slag pot in the rear section of the transporter, where it is positioned between the rear axles. This design offers structural advantages in terms of vehicle length and height, pick-up geometry, and driving dynamics, and is particularly suited for applications requiring high transport capacities.
When is the U-frame version of the slag pot carrier the right choice?
Typical application scenarios include operations with:
- a compact overall vehicle length in the pick-up position,
- a low slag pot pick-up height, ideal for restricted clearance heights,
- fast and smooth pot pick-up to reduce process times,
- long transport distances within the steel plant,
- and the need for high driving speeds to ensure a powerful and continuous material flow.

The result:
short handling times, stable driving behavior, and maximum efficiency in internal slag transport even under demanding infrastructure conditions.
