The platform version of the slag pot carrier is the ideal solution for steel plant applications where flexibility, process reliability, and controlled slag dumping are key priorities. In this concept, the slag pot is transported on a platform in the rear section of the vehicle above the rear axles, ensuring a stable position of the pot and a clear separation between the pick-up area and the furnace environment.

When is the platform version of the slag pot carrier the right choice?

Typical application scenarios include operations with:

  • a reduced vehicle width, suitable for defined travel paths and working areas,
  • a greater distance between the slag pot carrier and the furnace during pot pick-up, providing additional safety in high-temperature zones,
  • the capability to completely empty the slag pot—up to 180 degrees,
  • a simple and reliable interface with transfer cars or downstream logistics systems,
  • as well as processes where tilting or knocking out the slag pot is not required.
