Wassermann Gruppe successful
Through the acquisition of two SCHEUERLE InterCombi vehicle combinations complete with frame decks for the transport of extremely heavy cable drums, the Wassermann Group has taken a further positive step regarding the upgrading of its portfolio of services. The vehicles are continuously in use – also recently as part of an expansion project involving a high-pressure pumped storage power station of the Vorarlberg Illwerke power company situated at Lake Vermunt (Vermuntsee) in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg.
The cables, which were installed in the Austrian Alps with the help of the SCHEUERLE InterCombi cable drum transporters, are up to 1,100 metres long. Zeljko Paripovic, Managing Director of the Wassermann Group, was more than satisfied: "When it came to shifting cable reels weighing from thirty to around one hundred tonnes, we looked for a manufacturer that not only incorporates our experience into the development but also adapts to us as a customer would. The result of this collaboration has convinced us time and time again - the vehicles have proved to be outstanding in all operations.”
SCHEUERLE InterCombi platform trailers score highly when it comes to long-distance transport assignments on the road as well as for in-company operations. The modular platform trailer can be coupled in longitudinal and transverse directions. With a technical axle load of 45 tonnes and its robust frame construction, the SCHEUERLE InterCombi has proved itself all around the world – regardless whether as a towed or self-propelled vehicle. Combinable with a range of decks, load distributors or bolsters, the vehicle can be precisely tailored to the requirements of the operators.
Cable drums weighing up to 100 tonnes can be taken on board, unrolled and set down by the InterCombi cable drum transporter without the need of a crane.
