Strong together: C&C Marine & Repair (USA) relies

on shipyard transporters from the TII Group

  • C&C Marine & Repair - located in Bellechasse, USA - is expanding its fleet through two additional KAMAG shipyard transporters
  • After modification, existing vehicles can be driven in a loose coupling mode without any restrictions electronically coupled with the newly acquired vehicles
  • KAMAG IHT in successful continuous use at C&C Marine & Repair since 2003

Since 1997, C&C Marine & Repair, which is located in Bellechasse, USA, has been providing services for the construction and repair of ships, barges and similar vessels. Since 2003, C & C Marine & Repair has been relying on shipyard transporters from the TII Group, the leading manufacturer of hydraulically supported pendulum axles. With around 300 tonnes of payload respectively, KAMAG shipyard transporters are extremely versatile. For the transportaton of large components and assemblies or completed vessels, they can be used coupled together. As a result, the vehicle combination can transport payloads up to 1,200 tonnes.

Roland Fischer, Area Manager Sales at TII Sales, explains: "At C&C Marine & Repair, everything revolves around timing, reliability and safety. Our customers want to provide their customers with the perfect job at all times – supporting them in this is our mission and our motivation".

In order that the vehicles purchased in 2016 could communicate smoothly with the units commissioned in 2003, the electronic systems of the latter were completely updated by KAMAG service technicians. Using a data line and without any mechanical connection, the four KAMAG shipyard transporters ensure smooth, safe and efficient operations at C&C Marine & Repair.

Precision handling of 1,200 tonnes – KAMAG transport technology makes this possible with its shipyard transporters using a loose coupling mode.
