IAA Commercial Vehicles 2018:
"Driving tomorrow" is the slogan of this year's IAA Commercial Vehicles which takes place from 20th to 27th September in Hanover. Transporter Industry International GmbH (TII Group) will be presenting its future-proof transport solutions for the logistics yard and the road transportation requirements at the industry´s showcase event. At Stand E31 in Hall 27, the focus will be on the Wiesel swap body transporter. At the M52 stand, everything revolves around the flexible EuroCompact semi-trailer.
The Wiesel or Truckwiesel has been designed for the transport of swap bodies and semi-trailers on logistics yards or terminals. Customers of the extremely manoeuvrable vehicle are logistics companies, mail order companies, postal and parcel service providers. "Our swap body transporters make the intralogistics of our customers more economical and efficient," says Jürgen Dirr, Area Sales Manager and responsible for the Wiesel and Truckwiesel business operations at the TII subsidiary Kamag. "In order to stay ahead of the market, we are constantly optimizing our products and solutions." Thus, for example, the successful swap body transporter is also available as an emission-free version with an electric drive. At the IAA innovation stage, New Mobility World, the Wiesel will be presented live with a new, ergonomically optimized cab.
Road transportation made easy
At the open-air area (Stand M52), semi-modular compact vehicles for road transports under 100 tonnes play the main role. The EuroCompact is a light and short semi low-loader which is suitable for a wide range of transport assignments due to its flexible combination possibilities. Among other things, it can be used to transport construction machinery, transformers or plant components.
At the IAA Commercial Vehicles Show, the allrounder is being presented featuring the 0+3 and 3+5 axle combinations. It can be extended by means of the 1- or 2-axle add-on bogie, Smart Axle, which makes it easy to adapt various transport and load requirements. Thanks to the intelligent design of the coupling points, the EuroCompact has more deck length/loading length, in relation to the combination length. The low dead weight while simultaneously achieving a high payload makes this compact road vehicle both efficient and cost-effective.
Focus on future technologies
At its stand, the TII Group is also providing insights into their research workshop. For example, the company will be presenting autonomous transport solutions for driverless traffic at logistics yards. Tomorrow's mobility solution is already being used by customers of the TII Group as part of a number of pilot projects.
